Why Pacific Dermatology & Cosmetic Center?

What is the difference between Pacific Dermatology & Cosmetic Center and other laser centers and Medi-Spas?  Non-surgical rejuvenation such as Botox, Restylane, and lasers have become very popular. As such, many Medi-Spas and laser centers have opened. All Medi-Spas and laser centers should have a physician on staff. However, some may not be owned or run by a physician. They may not even employ physicians to perform the evaluations or actual procedures.  If they do, they may not be dermatologists or plastic surgeons. In some centers, the physician may not be on-site to supervise.

Patient safety is an issue.  Laser therapy and cosmetic injections are medical procedures and should be treated as such. At Pacific Dermatology & Cosmetic Center, all cosmetic procedures are performed either by a qualified physician or under the direct, on-site, supervision of a qualified physician. We believe that cosmetic treatments are an extension of medicine and surgery. As dermatologists, we have encountered patients with medical conditions such as lupus and skin cancer that were improperly treated cosmetically, ultimately complicating and delaying proper diagnosis. Dermatologists are the only doctors who specialize specifically in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions.

At Pacific Dermatology & Cosmetic Center, Dr. Jennifer Reichel and Dr. Diane Chiu are both board certified dermatologists.  One of them will personally perform your cosmetic consultation.  All cosmetic surgeries, major lasers and fillers, such as Radiesse and Restylane will be performed by Dr. Reichel or Dr. Chiu.  BOTOX injections are performed by our physicians, or our physician assistant, Kelly Stevens. Hair removal evaluation and treatment, photofacial rejuvenation, and Thermage may be performed by one of our highly experienced registered nurses.  Dr. Reichel and Chiu are on-site at all times and are available on-call for all post-operative patients.

Pacific Dermatology & Cosmetic Center is located at 11011 Meridian Ave. North, Ste 102, in the Meridian Medical Pavilion in Seattle, Washington. The building is located 2 blocks south of Northwest Hospital, and 2 blocks west of Interstate-5. It is easily accessible, and has free patient parking.
