Microneedling

How it Works
We use tiny oscillating needles to create micro wounds and channels in the epidermal and dermal components of the skin. This medically controlled skin injury stimulates the wound healing cascade allowing the release of many growth factors and cytokines to stimulate new collagen formation and skin remodeling. There is little damage to the top layer of the skin, which allows for quick recovery and little downtime from the procedure! By utilizing the body’s natural healing, the results are very natural.

What Can I Expect?
After consultation with one of our physicians, we may recommend a pretreatment regimen to address any specific concerns, tailored to your skin type.
Our microneedling device has a sterile tip with several tiny surgical needles. Though this may sound painful, there is minimal to no discomfort after a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin, about an hour before your procedure.
The microneedling procedure takes approximately 20 minutes, and pure hyaluronic acid will be applied to allow it to penetrate the skin deeply and provide extra hydration. After the treatment, we recommend strict sun protection, gentle skin care, and frequent moisturization. You will be very red after the procedure, but healing occurs very quickly, and the next day, you will likely only have mild redness and swelling. Mild peeling typically starts 48 hours post-procedure and occurs for one-two days. You will notice an immediate improvement in skin texture, which will continue to improve for months!
