Liposonix nerve healing

I had Liposonix done on my anterior thighs  4 months ago. Sometimes when I rest, I feel shooting pain in nerves, in right anterior thigh area, at random time intervals. Is this normal?

Dear M,
Thank you for your input after your Liposonix treatment.
Yes, this is totally normal - can do that for months after treatment. Just like with liposuction or other ultrasound devices, such as Ultherapy, there can be temporary nerve injury. Nerves tend to "let you know" when they are injured and trying to heal. They will cause those annoying twinges and tingles and shooting pains. And, it is always random (but can occur more when you are rubbing the area - like in a massage, or working out because you are stretching the nerves. I would not worry about this unless it is really painful. Nerve tenderness after Liposonix usually resolves or several months, but in some rare cases, it can take longer. Please call if you have any other concerns.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Wells, LPN

Ulthera for Hyperhidrosis

Good morning Cheryl,

I hope you are well. I just wanted to give you an update. First, am I the first patient to undergo Ulthera for hyperhidrosis at your clinic? If I am, I'm glad to be the first since I have had good results thus far. It has now been a little over a week since the procedure on my right axilla and I am already noticing about a 40-50% difference. 30 days from my first procedure, would it be possible to do another session with you? Would the cost be the same? I was reviewing comments from the clinical study of Dr. Mark Nestor in Florida and read that they did two passes, one penetrating at 3mm and the other at 4.5mm so I also wanted to ask if trying it at 4.5mm this time might help with the remaining trouble spots.

Overall, I really want to thank both Dr. Reichel and you, Cheryl. For people who have never had this condition, it may be difficult to comprehend, but this has truly been life altering. I can now worry less about having to constantly change my clothes at work and reapply deodorant throughout my day, which is truly priceless. I am very confident that after a second treatment I will no longer have this condition. Thanks again for working with me to make this happen. I am leaving for my business trip to Las Vegas this Sunday and I read that the weather will be in the 90's so I am VERY HAPPY that I have noticed an improvement since last week. Now I only have to focus on my meetings and presentations and not the extra clothes I would have had to bring before having the surgery and the treatment :)

Let me know your thoughts about a second treatment. I really look forward to it.

-N

Treatment for rosacea

Dear Cheryl,

I am interested in getting treatment for my rosacea. What would you recommend to treat this? Will it hurt afterwards?

C

Hi C,
The V-Beam laser is the gold standard for treating vascular skin conditions. This includes the treatment of rosacea, port wine stains, and broken blood vessels. The V-Beam laser uses a wavelength that selectively targets your blood vessels, heating them and causing them to close.
Immediately after the treatment your face or whatever area you had treated will feel sunburned. Redness and swelling is also common and can last several days. Depending on the condition, bruising is also possible. Ice and a mild topical steroid may be applied immediately after treatment and may be recommended for the first 1-2 days after the procedure.

Please call 206.859.5777 or email seattlelaserladies@pacificdermcenter.com to schedule a free consultation with me. I look forward to treating you!

IPL for brown spots

Hi Cheryl,

I have some brown spots on my face that I'd like to have treated. What would be the best way to do this?

R

Hi R,

Thank you for your questions. The laser I would use on you is the Intense Pulse Light (IPL) which is sometimes referred to as a photo facial. Photofacial rejuvenation is a non-invasive rejuvenation of your skin using the remarkable technology of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). This treatment is indicated for hyper-pigmentation and redness--basically, it improves the signs of sun damage. IPL treatments help to even out the color of the skin, smoothing out red and brown spots.
We can treat many areas such as face, neck, hands, arms, back, legs and other areas exposed to the sun. It is non-invasive with no downtime.

I look forward to treating you.

What is Ulthera?

Hi Laser Ladies,

I have a couple questions. I have heard about Ulthera, but what is it? And how long will it take for me to see results?

Thank you

A

Hi A,

Thank you for your questions. Ultherapy is a non-surgical face and neck treatment that uses ultrasound to actually lift and tone loose or sagging skin without any downtime. We use ultrasound imaging, which allows us to actually see the layers of tissue we target during treatment and ensure the energy is deposited precisely to where it will be most effective. Your treatment will be tailor made for you based on your skin characteristics and your treatment goals.

Patients may enjoy some initial effect but the ultimate lifting and toning will take place over 3 to 4 months, as tired collagen is replaced with new, more elastic collagen. As this collagen-building process continues, further improvements can appear up to 6 months following a procedure.

Please call 206.859.5777 or email seattlelaserladies@pacificdermcenter.com to schedule your free consultation and we can tailor a treatment plan just for you.

Liposonix treatment

Dear Cheryl,

What type of people can get Liposonix? Is there any down time after treatment?

-M

Hi M,

The perfect candidate is a person who is close to their ideal size and shape, but need help where diet and exercise won’t work.
After treatment, there may be some discomfort (pain), bruising, redness, and swelling, which are generally described as mild. We suggest you wear a 'Body Slimming' type garment after the treatment to help with this and to expedite the recovery process.

Please give me a call at 206.859.5777 or email me at seattlelaserladies@pacificdermcenter.com to schedule a free consultation to see if Liposonix is right for you.

Laser hair removal treatment time

Does laser hair removal hurt? How many treatments will I need and how long does each treatment take?

S

Dear S,

It truly does feel similar to a light rubber band snap. We have used several laser hair removal machines and this one is the most comfortable of them all. Our patients love it!

More than likely you will need six treatment, some people get their desired result after six treatments some might need more. Each treatment can take anywhere between five minutes and 30 minutes it all depends on the area we are treating. Our new Laser, Lumines Light Sheer has the most innovative technology available in today's market .

Please call 206.859.5777 or email me at seattlelaserladies@pacificdermcenter.com to schedule a free consultation. I look forward to treating you!
